Why We Built It
Most brands start with a product and pick a sweetener to fit it. We picked the sweetener first.
A platform, not a product
The rule is the same every time: take the best version of the sweetener a product needs, and make the better version of it. Everything we build is an application of that. A brand that will not name its sweetener is telling you something. We name ours on the front of the pack.
Why allulose and stevia, together
Each solves what the other cannot. Stevia alone turns bitter at higher concentrations and has no bulk, so it cannot replace sugar's volume or texture on its own. Allulose bulks, browns, and caramelises like sugar, but is only about 70% as sweet, so alone it tastes under-sweet.
Together, allulose does the work and stevia closes the sweetness gap. The ratio is our own, formulated for the way Indian cooking uses sweetness: the daily chai, the Diwali mithai, the payasam.
What's next
Jaggery is next: not a new flavour of it, but a better way of making it. Conventional jaggery is clarified with lime and other agents to lighten its colour, then boiled in open pans over a fire, where hot spots burn the sugar. We're working on jaggery made without those clarificants and evaporated at low temperature instead of boiled, so the cane juice is concentrated without ever being burnt. Same principle as everything else we make: take the sweetener India already uses, and do it properly.

What is DoneRight building?
A sweetener platform, not a snack brand. We start with the sweetener a product needs and build the better version of it. Everything else is an application of that.
What can I join the waitlist for?
Two things.
- Allulose-Stevia Table Sweetener — a sugar replacement for your own kitchen that browns and caramelises like the real thing. Erythritol-free. Sugar alcohol-free.
- Mid-Day Bites — a 40g chocolate-coated cake sandwich, 165 kcal, no added sugar, for the 4pm moment when you want a real treat and not a protein bar.
What is the waitlist, exactly?
A way to tell us you want the product before it's on sale. Just your name and a contact number or email. No payment, no card details, no commitment to buy.
When are you launching?
This year. We're not putting a public date on it until our first production run is confirmed — we'd rather be late to announce than late to deliver. Waitlist members hear the date first.
What do I get for joining early?
First access to the opening batch, which is limited, and first notice of the launch date.
How will you contact me?
On WhatsApp or email, depending on what you give us — only about your order and the launch. We won't add you to a broadcast list or share your number.
What happens when you launch?
We message you, you confirm what you want and how much, and pay then. Nothing is charged before you say yes.
Where do you deliver?
Bengaluru first, with weekly delivery to participating apartment communities, alongside specialty retail and Amazon.in. Outside Bengaluru? Join anyway — we'll tell you when we reach you.
What are allulose and stevia?
Allulose is a rare sugar that behaves like sugar — it browns, it caramelises — but isn't metabolised the same way, so it contributes negligible calories. Stevia is a zero-calorie sweetener from the stevia plant, 200–400 times sweeter than sugar. We blend the two because each covers what the other can't: allulose brings the bulk and browning, stevia closes the sweetness gap. Don't take our word for it — the FDA's position and a 2023 meta-analysis of human trials are both worth reading.
How much sweetener replaces sugar?
Half. Our blend is twice as sweet, so 100g replaces 200g of sugar and 1 teaspoon replaces 2. Baking needs small adjustments — we're testing the recipes people actually make and will share them, measured and tried.
Is this suitable for diabetics?
Our sweeteners contribute negligible calories and aren't metabolised as sugar. We don't give medical advice — if you're managing diabetes, speak to your doctor before changing your diet. What we commit to is naming the sweetener on the front of the pack.
Is DoneRight FSSAI compliant?
Yes. DoneRight holds a valid FSSAI licence as brand owner, and our manufacturing partners hold their own. Labels and claims are reviewed against FSSAI's labelling and advertising regulations.
What's next?
Jaggery is next: not a new flavour of it, but a better way of making it. Without the lime and clarificants, evaporated instead of boiled, so it's never burnt. More when we have results worth showing.
